SAJIDA FOUNDATION AND ORBIS INTERNATIONAL HOSTED A NATIONAL LEVEL ROUNDTABLE ON EYE INJURY REHABILITATION DURING JULY MOVEMENT

Foundation, in collaboration with ORBIS International, hosted a national-level roundtable discussion yesterday to address the urgent issue of eye injuries sustained during the July Movement. The event brought together experts from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, public hospitals, eye specialists, NGOs, and student coordinators to discuss the rehabilitation and medical care needed for affected individuals. Prof. Nazmul Hossain, Director General of DGHS, was the Chief Guest.

Zahida Fizza Kabir, CEO of SAJIDA Foundation, emphasized the critical need for collaboration among all stakeholders to provide comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation support. Key challenges discussed included emotional support, cornea shortages, and the need for holistic care, including skill training, mental health, and long-term livelihood support.
